MEGADETH Mainman: 'Dreams Really Do Come True!'

October 29, 2007

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"South Korea Rocks!

"OMG! HJ, our promoter in Korea, was AWESOME! I had such a great time and great show that if we could come back again in three weeks on the way home to the U.S., I would!

"Don't get me wrong. The concerts have been great and the promoters have been stellar, given the fact that we are trying to do this tour on a shoestring, but the trip to Korea is something that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

"HJ, you can count on me from now on, and I agree to your request; I WILL bring Gigantour to Korea next year for you. It would be my privilege and my honor.

"Here's why:

"We got to Korea and we were picked up in style! Then, once we were at the hotel, I was met by the Secretary General, Mr. Jin Suk Yang of the World Taekwondo Federation, and was presented with my third black belt; a fourth Dan or fourth degree, and appointed the 'Goodwill Ambassador of the World for the WTA' (photo). I get chills just thinking about it again.

"And if that wasn't enough, the band members were presented with 'honorary' black belts and doboks too!

"Then we went to dinner, to one of the best meals with HJ and his guys and my guys.

"And if THIS wasn't enough, we went to the concert hall, the Olympic Hall, and the gear was great, the stage was perfect, the staff was 100% professional, and for the first time in my life, I actually drank some Crystal Champagne in HJ's honor! (too expensive — my head hurts — and it's just piss today anyway) :D

"Sadly, we have to leave, but we are going to the only two countries that I know could even compare with this royal treatment: the world-famous 'Mr. Udo and Mr. AJ Maddah.'

"I only wish you were all here to see this last night.

"HJ, thank you my friend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to you and to the Korean people, and to Mr. Yang.

"Dreams really do come true!"
