MEGADETH Drummer Wishes Y&T Bassist 'The Speediest Recovery Possible'

August 8, 2010

MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover has issued the following message:

"Just found out that Phil Kennemore from one of my favorite bands, Y&T, has been diagnosed with cancer.

"I would just like to wish Phil the speediest recovery possible.

"MEGADETH played the Download festival in England a few months back, and my mission for the day after the show was to meet Y&T. Luckily for me, I did for no other reason than to express to them that I have appreciated Y&T for many years now (the band's first record was released in 1976, believe it or not) and the fact that they are still out there releasing new music and kicking ass is very inspiring to me.

"Please get well soon, Phil!"
