MEGADETH Drummer Schedules Australian In-Store Appearance

November 21, 2010

MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover will make a special in-store appearance at Pony Music in Hallam, Australia on Thursday, December 16 at 8 p.m. The event is presented by ddrum.

MEGADETH will headline six festival shows in New Zealand and Australia during December 10-19 as part of "No Sleep Til", a touring festival that will deliver a mix of the best international and local acts from the legendary to the up-and-comers.

MEGADETH's "Rust In Peace Live" CD — which captures the final night of the band's historic month-long "Rust In Peace" 20th anniversary tour — sold around 3,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 161 on The Billboard 200 chart. Meanwhile, the DVD version of "Rust In Peace Live" shifted around 2,600 units to land at No. 3 on the Top Music Videos chart.

SLAYER guitarist Kerry King joined MEGADETH on stage on October 21 at the Gibson Amphitheater to perform MEGADETH's classic "Rattlehead". This marked the first time in 26 years that Kerry played the song with MEGADETH (King took part in MEGADETH's very first shows in February 1984 as the band's second guitarist).
