MEGADETH Drummer Prepares For Headlining Tour

August 12, 2007

MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"With about three weeks until the next tour leg begins, at this point I would usually be dusting off the drum-set and sssssllllllllooooooowwwwwwwwllllly begin to rehearse on my own before we pick the tour ball back up. This time however, I have already been playing quite a bit, and now with the two additional tunes being added to the setlist (which I am thrilled about, I must say) I am really looking forward to playing these tunes in a live setting. As a longtime advocate for the 'Killing Is My Business' record/era, Playing 'Skull Beneath the Skin' is going to be fun for me. Apart from all things MEGA, I have already made plans with Glen [Drover; guitar] to watch the re-make of 'Halloween' on August 31st in L.A. This is my all-time favorite movie flat-out; thus my fingers are crossed in hoping that Rob [Zombie] will make his version as terrifying as the original (a difficult task, of course, but I do think it can be done). I am counting down the days on this one."

MEGADETH fan club (MegaFanClub) members can chat live with mainman Dave Mustaine today (Sunday, August 12) at 3:00 p.m. PDT / 6:00 p.m. EDT (22:00 GMT) at the fan club chat room.
