MEGADETH Drummer Offers Update On New EIDOLON Album

December 29, 2004

EIDOLON drummer Shawn Drover (MEGADETH) ahs posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"Just thought I would drop a line here to wish all a great holiday season!!!! For obvious reasons (Glen [Drover, guitar] and myself joining MEGADETH) I haven't posted much new info in regards to EIDOLON, to which the news is basically the same — we are recording the new record (drum tracks were completed in October),though now it will be done in between MEGADETH tours, etc. To be honest, it's really not much different than how we've always recorded our records — we have always done so in this fashion, so nothing different in this respect, really. Next in line for recording are Glen's guitar tracks, which he is looking to complete before we head out on tour in late January 2005 (if all goes well, that is). We are not going to rush this record — there is no reason to do so, really. We are hoping to have it released sometime in late 2005, so we'll see how that goes. I can assure you that this will be the best record we have made thus far. The material is very strong and diverse — something that we always strive for as musicians — to expand and grow, this is all that matters to us, really."
