MASTODON, PIG DESTROYER Among Revolver Magazine's 'Future Of American Metal' Bands

August 31, 2004

Relapse Records recording artists MASTODON and PIG DESTROYER have been named amongst Revolver magazine's 10 "Future of American Metal" bands. Revolver's 10 "Future of American Metal" acts were determined via a poll of the editors and contributing writers at the noted magazine.

MASTODON and PIG DESTROYER join an impressive list of Revolver's fast-rising heavy music acts, which also includes AS I LAY DYING, ISIS, ALL THAT REMAINS and PELICAN amongst others. Revolver's "Future of American Metal" list can be found in the magazine's October, 2004 issue — on stands now.

MASTODON's new album, "Leviathan", hits stores today (August 31). The Atlanta, GA based group will kick off a U.S. tour alongside SLAYER and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE this October. PIG DESTROYER's forthcoming album, "Terrifyer", will arrive on October 12. PIG DESTROYER will headline the 2004 Relapse Records Showcase on October 15 at the Downtime in New York City.
