MARILYN MANSON Offers Advice To AVRIL LAVIGNE

October 30, 2004

Although MARILYN MANSON has earned himself a reputation as one of the most controversial figures in music, the shock rocker admits he finds Avril Lavigne baffling.

"I haven't really figured her out," Manson told the Toronto Sun in August while promoting his greatest hits record, "Lest We Forget".

"She's a strange little girl. We hung out several times. She really wanted my advice on everything from microphones to boyfriends. And stuff like that. I found it hard to relate, which I guess makes me seem older, or just in a different place than (teen flick) 'American Pie'. It's not my kind of movie.

"But I like her," Manson added. "I think she's nice. I think she's got the ability to go farther. I think she has the longevity. That's my opinion."
