MARDUK Finish Recording Basic Tracks For New CD

August 24, 2004

Swedish black metallers MARDUK have finished tracking the drums, guitars and bass for their ninth full-length album, tentatively due in November. The band will soon return to Endarker studio in Norrköping, Sweden to begin recording the vocals, according to a posting on their web site. The group's forthcoming CD will be their first recording with new singer Mortuus (previously a member of FUNERAL MIST and TRIUMPHATOR under the alias Arioch).

In other news, MARDUK have announced a headlining gig at the Headbangers Ballroom in Hamburg, Germany on September 19. A few more shows in the fall may follow.

As previously reported, MARDUK will embark on a massive world tour beginning in December. The European portion of the trek, dubbed "Deathmarch 2004/2005", will be divided into two parts, with the first taking place in December and the second during spring 2005.
