MALEVOLENT CREATION: European Festival Appearances Are 'Definitely On'

August 14, 2004

Long-running Florida-based death metallers MALEVOLENT CREATION have issued a statement refuting rumors that they have cancelled their previously announced appearances at Germany's Up From The Ground festival and Portugal's Festival da Ilha do Ermal. "Thanks to our agent, Adam Elfin from First Contact Agency, and the amazing promoters from both festivals, they have managed to sort everything out and the shows are definitely on!" the band write in the statement. The confirmed festival dates are as follows:

Aug. 25 - Festival da Ilha do Ermal - Vieira do Minho, POR
Aug. 27 - Up From The Ground Festival - Gemunden, GER

MALEVOLENT CREATION's ninth full-length album, "Warkult", was released late last month through Nuclear Blast Records. Said to be the band's "most diverse and punishing record to date," "Warkult" was recorded at Liquid Ghost Recording Studio in Boca Raton, Florida by Phil Plaskon and mixed at Studio Wild in Quebec by producer Jean Francois Degenais. Mastering duties were handled by Bernard Belley in Montreal.
