MACHINE HEAD Forced To Miss Tonight's Portland Concert

November 24, 2012

San Francisco Bay Area metallers MACHINE HEAD have released the following statement:

"MACHINE HEAD are currently stuck on the side of the road a few hours outside of Portland after their bus broke down earlier this afternoon, and unfortunately must announce that they will miss tonight's show [with DETHKLOK and ALL THAT REMAINS]. Pouring rain and heinous traffic mean that even if they could get the bus running, they'd never make it in time, frustrating all involved to no end.

"Sincerest apologies from the band to all of the fans expecting to see MACHINE HEAD play tonight. Trust that they're as disappointed as you are by these maddening circumstances.

"VIPs note: You will be contacted directly with info regarding obtaining a refund."

MACHINE HEAD was forced to miss the last several shows on the DETHKLOK tour after MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn underwent successful surgery on November 14 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota to repair his double inguinal hernia. He spent the past several days home in California recovering and preparing for what was supposed to be the band's first show back on the tour tonight in Portland.

"Machine Fucking Head Live", the new live album from MACHINE HEAD, sold 3,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. It's the band's second live effort; "Hellalive" came out in 2003.

"Machine Fucking Head Live" was recorded at various tour stops across the globe last year. It features songs from throughout the band's expansive catalog, including crowd favorites like "Imperium", "Aesthetics of Hate", "Locust", "Ten Ton Hammer", "This is the End" and "Halo".
