MÖTLEY CRÜE To Perform At Hollywood's Palladium On Monday?

December 2, 2004

MÖTLEY CRÜE will apparently be staging a live performance at The Palladium in Hollywood, CA on Monday, December 6 following their press conference to announce a reunion tour by the group's original lineup, according to MajorRockEvent.com, a web site that appears to have been registered by the CRÜE's parent record company, Universal Music.

The web site features a photo of MÖTLEY CRÜE, with an accompanying announcement that a "major rock event" will take place on Dec. 6 featuring "the world's most infamous rock band." It also states that doors will open at 5:00 p.m. to wristband holders only. Free wristbands can apparently be picked up at the Hustler store (8920 Sunset Blvd.) between noon and 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Earlier today, MÖTLEY CRÜE's manager at Tenth Street Entertainment told Billboard.com that talk that the group will be announcing a tour Monday (Dec. 6) at a press event on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, Calif., is premature.

"Anyone showing up at the Whisky on Monday will be with a bunch of other people holding a seance trying to will this thing to happen," MÖTLEY CRÜE manager Allen Kovac told Billboard.com.

"We're holding buildings, sitting down and negotiating with everyone, but nothing is done," Kovac added. So what is done? "I know there's a [new] single and I know there's a video," he said. "And they're getting great response, which will help get this [tour] done. But I assure you there isn't anything happening in front of the Whisky on Monday."

Kovac added, "This is MÖTLEY CRÜE we're talking about. Everyone is expecting a concert, and a wrestling match may break out."
