LULLACRY Perform 'Secret' Club Gigs In Helsinki

January 24, 2003

Finland's LULLACRY performed two "secret" gigs in their hometown of Helsinki last week — the first on Saturday (Jan. 18) at Stella Star club under the name BLOODY MARY, and the second last night (Jan 23) at Semifinal club under the name HARVEY WALLBANGER. According to an eyewitness, "the band played lots of old stuff and some songs from the forthcoming album too. The new vocalist [Tanja Lainio] sang well and the band played really tight. It was really great actually..."

LULLACRY's third CD, "Crucify My Heart", is due to receive a Finnish release on Feb. 17 through Spinefarm Records. A continental European release is set for March 17 through Century Media Records. "Crucify My Heart" is LULLACRY's first album with Lainio, who replaced Tanja Kemppainen (currently in SOULGRIND) last summer.
