LINKIN PARK's Mike Shinoda has been tapped to rework a track for the upcoming two-disc set "Depeche Mode Remixes 81-04", due October 26. "DEPECHE MODE is one of the most influential groups of our time," the LINKIN PARK rapper says of the electro-pop veterans. "Their music is an inspiration for me." Shinoda's take on "Enjoy the Silence" will serve as the set's first single, appearing only on a limited-edition bonus disc that accompanies the double album. Others adding their touch to favorites like "Just Can't Get Enough" and "Personal Jesus" include DJ SHADOW, WILLIAM ORBIT, PORTISHEAD and AIR.
