Legendary Cover Artist DEREK RIGGS: 'IRON MAIDEN Have All The Originals'

May 14, 2004

Legendary IRON MAIDEN artist Derek Riggs recently responded to queries from MAIDEN fans regarding the whereabouts of his original MAIDEN artwork, some of which was purportedly being auctioned off via eBay during the past few weeks.

"I do not have any originals in my possession," Riggs said. "MAIDEN have all the originals but I do not think they will be likely to part with them. Sometimes a piece of MAIDEN art comes up for sale on eBay. I do not know if they are real originals or not. If they are then they are probably stolen property. Some of the artwork went 'missing' from the printers in the early days. If you keep your eyes open you might get lucky."
