LED ZEPPELIN Involved In Royalty Dispute With Atlantic Records

Over 30 years after Jerry Wexler signed them to the label, LED ZEPPELIN are suing Atlantic Records for copyright infringement, according to Rock's Back Pages. Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and the heirs of late drummer John Bonham contend that the U.S. label has refused to pay increased royalty fees — currently almost four times the amount specified when the contract was signed — on 42 ZEPPELIN songs from the band's first five albums. If an agreement is reached, the settlement will likely run in the millions.
