LED ZEPPELIN Artwork To Be Displayed At English Gallery

May 10, 2003

Original LED ZEPPELIN album cover artworks from their 20-year career will be displayed at a gallery in Birmingham, England beginning on May 27.

Number Nine the Gallery is hosting the second of its "Art of Rock and Roll" exhibitions, and this show will be dedicated solely to the album artwork of the long-defunct British hard rock legends.

Several of the designs were the artistic creation of Storm Thorgerson and Hipgnosis partner Aubrey "Po" Powell.

Thorgerson and Powell were responsible for five of the covers: "Houses of the Holy", "Coda", "Presence", "The Song Remains the Same" and "In Through the Out Door".
