March 29, 2013

According to The Pulse Of Radio, the Chicago Tribune reported on Thursday (March 28) that a Lollapalooza poster leaked online Wednesday night (March 27) was legitimate, providing fans with an accurate snapshot of this year's lineup a week ahead of its official unveiling. According to the poster, previously confirmed headliners MUMFORD AND SONS, THE KILLERS and PHOENIX have been joined by THE CURE and NINE INCH NAILS. Other acts include VAMPIRE WEEKEND, THE POSTAL SERVICE, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, THE NATIONAL, NEW ORDER, THE LUMINEERS and others.

The lineup will be officially revealed next week, one week ahead of the original date of April 9.

There will also be a new on-sale date for single day tickets, with three-day passes already sold out.

Lollapalooza will take place on August 2-4 at Grant Park in Chicago.

NINE INCH NAILS mainman Trent Reznor revealed last month that the band will embark on an extensive U.S. tour this summer. Joining Reznor in the group's latest incarnation will be Eric Avery (JANE'S ADDICTION),Adrian Belew (KING CRIMSON),and Josh Eustis (TELEFON TEL AVIV),along with previous NIN collaborators Alessandro Cortini and Ilan Rubin.

In early 2009, Reznor announced that NINE INCH NAILS was embarking on a 20th-anniversary farewell tour, after which he stayed busy recording with HOW TO DESTROY ANGELS, writing music for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" and scoring "The Social Network" and "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" with composer Atticus Ross.
