KVELERTAK Replaces HELLDIVER At Norway's ØYAFESTIVALEN

August 4, 2007

KVELERTAK will step in as the last-minute replacement for HELLDIVER at Norway's Øyafestivalen. One of Norway's biggest festivals, the event will take place on August 7 at the Club Maiden in Oslo.

Known for the desire to be regarded as a "pretension-free zone," KVELERTAK is gaining an increasingly large number of fans thanks both to the band's exuberant live performances, and to its style of music, which, while having an immediate appeal, never loses its harder, darker edge. The band actively tries to avoid any type of categorization that would restrict the kind of music they want to make, preferring instead to transcend the limitations set by any particular musical genre.

Tracks from "West Coast Holocaust", KVELERTAK's recently self-released 10-track demo, can be heard on the band's MySpace page.
