KROKUS Fan Club Head Dies In Car Crash

July 30, 2003

Sonja Jaros, the head of the official KROKUS Fan Club died on July 23 in a car accident in her native Prague. "We are very shocked and very sorry to spread this tragic news," the band write on their web site. "Sonja was one of this very rare human beings who lived for her dreams and worked very hard to make them come true. We lose a big hearted fan and true friend but we'll be with her in our thoughts forever."

In related news, KROKUS frontman Marc Storace was recently injured in a car accident of his own. Marc was reportedly not at fault in the crash, which has resulted in a neck injury for the singer. "He's feeling quite ok and was even able to do two shows right after that crash: Tuttlingen in Germany and the famous Montreux Jazz Festival," reads a post on the group's web site.

KROKUS' latest CD, "Rock The Block", debuted at No. 1 on the Swiss Album chart upon its release in January. The album is the group's first since being rejoined by Storace.
