KORPIKLAANI Confirmed For U.K.'s BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR Festival

Finnish folk metallers KORPIKLAANI are the first confirmed band for the Bloodstock Open Air festival, set to take place Saturday, July 7 at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, England.

As previously reported, KORPIKLAANI has entered Fantom Studios in Tampere, Finland with producer Samu Oittinen to begin recording its fourth album, "Tervaskanto", tentatively due in April 2007. 11 songs are reportedly being recorded for the follow-up to "Tales along this Road", which was released in April via Napalm Records.

Formed by Jonne Järvelä (vocals, guitar),KORPIKLAANI ("Woodland Clan" in Finnish) released two albums under its previous moniker, SHAMAN. In contrast to SHAMAN, which recorded songs in the original Sami language, KORPIKLAANI's material is writen mostly in English, but also in Finnish.
