KORN Singer Reveals More Details About Upcoming Solo Tour

October 20, 2007

According to a posting on the KORN fan site Kornspace, KORN frontman Jonathan Davis told the Phoenix radio station KUPD that he will play a 23-song set during his upcoming solo acoustic tour and that he expects to be on stage for about 90 minutes every night. His backing band will include the following musicians:

Michael Jochum - Percussion
Shane Gibson - Guitar
Miles Mosely - Bass
Zac Baird - Keyboards

Speaking to MTV.com in October 2006, Davis stated about a possible solo tour, "I'm gonna do it more in the style of a lounge thing. I'll be playing KORN songs, the 'Queen of the Damned' [soundtrack] stuff I did and a lot of different covers. When I was growing up, my dad played in a couple of bands where they just went around different clubs and played covers. It's just going to be fun."

Among the tracks that will be included in Davis' set are "The Chauffeur" (DURAN DURAN),"Love on the Rocks" ("Wonderland" soundtrack),"Blue Monday" (NEW ORDER),"Blind" (KORN) and "Hold On" (KORN).

Although he's venturing outside of KORN for the tour, Davis previously said that he has no plans for a solo album.

"The closest thing [I've done to a solo album] was the 'Queen of the Damned' stuff and if I were to [record something solo] again, it'd be something like that," Davis said in late 2006. "Maybe some day when it's right, but I don't want to distract from KORN. I don't want people to think there's problems with the band. I'm just trying to have fun while the other guys are relaxing or working on their own records or whatever."
