KORN: No Plans To Replace Guitarist BRIAN 'HEAD' WELCH

February 24, 2005

According to a posting on the KORN fan site KornTV.co.uk, KORN frontman Jonathan Davis "was on the KoRn KoRner [chat room] again the other night speaking to the fans where obviously [Brian 'Head' Welch's departure] was the main subject along with the forthcoming album.

"Jonathan has been very open about the subject and says he has a feeling Brian's been brainwashed but respects his decision. He also mentioned that Brian keeps writing e-mails to him saying he won't ever come back to the band.

"As for the forthcoming album, Jonathan states that Brian has wrote nothing on the new album and that, 'The new music is the shit.' Jonathan also says that KORN will most likely be doing a U.S. tour around August with 3 bands most likely touring with them."

In other news, KORN's official message board administrator, "cray0n lies", has provided the fans with some very much needed answers about the current state of the band. "cray0n lies" contacted Jonathan by e-mail, asking if he wouldn't mind answering some questions. When Jon let her know it was okay, she sent some questions asked on a regular basis. The following are the questions and Jonathan's responses:

KoRn Board: Are you guys staying together after the album?

JD: "Yes, we are staying together."

KoRn Board: Will you still be touring?

JD: "Yes, we are touring."

KoRn Board: Playing older songs live?

JD: "Yes, we will play the old songs."

KoRn Board: Will that mean you will be finding a new guitar player?

JD: "No, we won't get a new guitar player. We are going to be a 4-piece live."

KoRn Board: They are all really curious as to what happened, and the reactions of everyone.

JD: "N/A"

KoRn Board: Some of them just after willing to accept that you won't break up based on old comments that were made in 'Who Then Now?'

JD: "N/A"
