KORN Cancels HELLFEST Appearance

June 22, 2007

KORN was forced to cancel its appearance at Hellfest in Clisson, France. The group's frontman Jonathan Davis has issued the following statement on the matter:

"On behalf of KORN, I'd like to apologize to the French fans who came out to Hellfest today [Friday, June 22] and didn't get to see us play. Due to severe weather and a negligent promoter who didn't provide adequate cover for our gear, we were advised to cancel the show for risk of the band being electrocuted. The fans were short-changed and that pisses us off. This was an especially important show for us given my illness last year which prevented me from performing. I am seriously bummed."

AOL Music has posted a full AIM interview with KORN frontman Jonathan Davis at this location. AOL Music has also launched a new station called All Korn Radio on AOL Radio. Listen to it here.

KORN's eighth studio album is due on July 31 via Virgin Records. The untitled CD was produced by KORN's "See You On The Other Side" producer Atticus Ross (Ross is also known for his revolutionary work with NIN). In releasing an album with no title singer Jonathan Davis commented, "We didn't want to label this album. It has no boundaries; it has no limits and why not just let our fans call it whatever they wanna call it?"

Video footage of KORN's performance at the Norwegian Wood festival on Friday, June 15 has been posted online at this location.

Norway's VG TV has uploaded a video interview with KORN bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, conducted on June 15 prior to the band's appearance at the Norwegian Wood festival. Watch the five-minute clip at this location.
