KOLDBORN Announce New Guitarist

May 31, 2006

Danish death metal band KOLDBORN have issued the following update:

"We are proud to announce, that we have a new member in the KOLDBORN legion — Jakob Nyholm (also in DAWN OF DEMISE) is taking the place of Bjørn Bihlet on guitar. We are moving towards a more modern and aggressive style of metal, and Jakob brings that edge to the music that we want.

"We have started to work with Evil Beauty Agency for booking matters. So get in contact and we'll show up and release hell, haha... that's how it works!

"We are at the moment negotiating with different labels about the release of [the long-completed second album] 'The Uncanny Valley' in Europe, Japan and U.S., and I’m hoping to sign the deals within too long so we can get this piece of aggressive metal out! Until then, you will have to do with the sound clips we have on the myspace site or check the webpage www.koldborn.dk for news. Drop by and leave us a comment."

The follow-up to 2002's "First Enslavement", "The Uncanny Valley" was recorded in August 2005 and mixed in January 2006 at Smart 'n' Hard studios with producer Jacob Bredahl and is said to be "the most brutal, fastest, heaviest and most catchy material" the band have penned to date.

"The Uncanny Valley" projected track listing:

01. Lords of Stupidity
02. Disconnected
03. The Uncanny Valley
04. Below A Crushing Earth
05. A Destiny Predicted
06. Neural Bound
07. Repression
08. Relativity
09. Hope Transformed Horizon
10. 2:18

KOLDBORN's most recent EP, "Devil of All Deals", was recorded and mixed by Bredahl at Borsing Recordings and was the band's first CD to feature Bihlet and Lars Bjørn-Hansen (vocals).
