KILL RITUAL Announces New Guitarist

January 16, 2013

San Francisco Bay Area thrashers KILL RITUAL have announced the addition of guitarist Mehl Anoma (ex-POTENTIAL THREAT) to the group's ranks. He takes over for the departing Roberto Proietti, who has stepped down because of a demanding professional career and new family. The band states: "Roberto will be missed and we all understand and support his decision. Mehl is a Bay Area metal veteran and we look forward to our future collaborations."

KILL RITUAL will embark on a U.S. tour in March. A list of confirmed dates can be found on the poster below.

KILL RITUAL is:

Josh Gibson - Vocals
Steven Rice (ex-IMAGIKA) – Lead Guitar
Mehl Anoma (ex-POTENTIAL THREAT) – Guitar
Wayne De Vecchi (ex-IMAGIKA, DOOM SOCIETY) – Drums
Danyael Williams (ex-DARK ANGEL) – Bass

KILL RITUAL's debut album, "The Serpentine Ritual", was released last October via Scarlet Records. The CD was recorded and engineered by KILL RITUAL lead guitarist Steve Rice at Fang Studios in San Mateo, California and Fossil Sound in San Jose, California. The mix and the mastering were handled by Andy La Rocque of KING DIAMOND fame at his Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden. La Rocque also makes a guest appearance on the CD with the ending solo on the track "Coat Of Blood".

The "The Serpentine Ritual" cover art was designed by Jobert Mello for Sledgehammer Graphix (SABATON, PRIMAL FEAR).
