KERRY KING's L.A. Guitar Clinic: Photos, Report Available

March 31, 2008

SLAYER guitarist Kerry King held an exclusive clinic this past Saturday (March 29) at the West L.A. Music Ampitheater in Los Angeles, California. Nick Bowcott (of GRIM REAPER fame, and most recently his guitar tribute to the late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott) started the clinic with a jam session demonstrating his awesome guitar skills, playing riffs from many well-known rock and metal bands using his left-handed Zakk Wylde signature bullseye.

Kerry really made this an interactive clinic as opposed to the typical demo/question and answer session most artists do. He brought up onstage various fans from the audience and let them play their favorite SLAYER tune on HIS guitar and then provided constructive criticism based on the talent of the guitar playing. In addition to the verbal critiquing of the fans ability to play the chosen SLAYER tune, Kerry would also demonstrate improvements by playing the riff/song himself for each fan.
