KELLY OSBOURNE To BOB DOLE: 'You're A Twat!'

May 7, 2003

Kelly Osbourne has fired back at Bob Dole for using Jack Osbourne's recent entry into a rehab facility to bolster an argument against reality television.

As part of his ongoing series of point-counterpoints with Bill Clinton on CBS' "60 Minutes", Dole asked, "Does Hollywood still think Ozzy Osbourne is funny now that he's shipped his underage son [Jack] off to drug rehab? America is awash in reality TV. And the reality is it's debasing and degrading." In his response, Clinton denied ever having seen "The Osbournes", but said that Republican budget cuts to after-school programs were doing more to "hurt our effort to keep kids drug-free" than any reality show.

On Tuesday (May 6),Kelly Osbourne issued a statement to MTV News, saying that "It's ridiculous that they should frame [Jack] as a national issue. You don't go to rehab just because you're someone's kid, and it was Jack who had the balls to check himself in."

She concluded her statement with a personal message for Senator Dole: "P.S. You're a twat."
