KATAKLYSM: Touring Plans Announced

February 14, 2004

Canadian death metallers KATAKLYSM have decided to postpone their South African, Russian and Baltic states tour, originally scheduled for May to a later time this year. Instead, the band will be touring North America throughout the spring & summer, beginning April 30 at the New England Metal And Hardcore Festival.

The tour, dubbed "No More Serenity", will be presented by Metal Maniacs magazine and the line up will be KATAKLYSM, MISERY INDEX, CANNAE and THROUGH THE DISCIPLINE. More North American touring is getting sorted out for this June, details to be announced shortly. The band have also confirmed the Saturday headlining spot at the Up the Ground! open-air festival in Germany on August 28.

In other KATAKLYSM-related news, drummer Martin Maurais has signed an endorsement deal with D-Sound drums. Martin will have his own custom-made drum kit built exclusively for him. He has also signed an endorsement deal with Tama for the "Cobra" kick drum pedals.

KATAKLYSM's new album, "Serenity in Fire", is scheduled for release on March 8 in Europe and March 9 in North America.
