KATAKLYSM To Tour U.S. With DEVILDRIVER

July 8, 2010

Canadian extreme metallers KATAKLYSM will join Ozzfest tourmates DEVILDRIVER on a full North American tour scheduled around their Ozzfest appearances this summer.

"With the release of [the new KATAKLYSM album] 'Heaven's Venom' coming in the next few weeks, we're going to start the touring campaign with a bang," commented KATAKLYSM vocalist Maurizio Iacono. "First with the almighty Ozzfest and then we're going to keep the metal flow by joining DEVILDRIVER for a full coast-to-coast North American tour! Last time we toured together it was a bombastic combo so we're excited to do this once more. The new album is tailored for the live setting and the assault will be deadly. See you fuckers there!"

KATAKLYSM will premiere a brand new track from "Heaven's Venom" on July 12 via MySpace.

KATAKLYSM will film a video for the song "Push The Venom" later this month in Belgrade, Serbia with director Ivan Colic (TYPE O NEGATIVE, UNLEASHED, DEATHSTARS, EX DEO). The track comes off "Heaven's Venom", which will be released on August 13 in Europe and August 24 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records.

"It wasn't a hard decision for us to choose who will do the next KATAKLYSM video," says Maurizio Iacono. "As some of you know, we've released some of the craziest videos lately with our other band EX DEO. So we decided to give KATAKLYSM a visual masterpiece as well and hire Ivan Colic once again to direct and produce the new clip for the song 'Push The Venom'. It's a hard-hitting track with lots of anger and power and I'm positive Ivan will give it justice."

The follow-up to 2008's "Prevail", "Heaven's Venom" was produced by KATAKLYSM guitarist Jean-Francois Dagenais (MALEVOLENT CREATION, MISERY INDEX) and was mixed by Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, MNEMIC, DARK TRANQUILLITY).

"Heaven's Venom" track listing:

01. A Soulless God
02. Determined (Vows Of Vengeance)
03. Faith Made Of Shrapnel
04. Push The Venom
05. Hail The Renegade
06. As The Walls Collapse
07. Numb & Intoxicated
08. At The Edge Of The World
09. Suicide River
10. Blind Savior

Dagenais previously stated about the new CD, "Everything you wish for in a KATAKLYSM album is here and some unexpected musical adventures as well. Everyone here has given 150% of themselves!

"As KATAKLYSM turns twenty next year, we want to be remembered as the band who never gave up and faced the odds. This explosive slab of metal will lead scene for future conquests and not be forgotten ever. The music, the vocals and the production are all top notch."
