KAMCHATKA Signs With DESPOTZ RECORDS

October 21, 2013

Despotz Records has signed a record and publishing deal with KAMCHATKA. The band's as-yet-untitled fifth full-length album will be released in February 2014.

KAMCHATKA's sound — which has roots in Miami and Stockholm — mixes elements of rock and blues. In recent years, the band toured the U.S. and Europe with the blues-influenced American band CLUTCH.

"We just want to say that we are very pleased and excited to have been signed by Despotz," says KAMCHATKA in a statement. "Our manager Lena Graaf , together with the company and all of us in the band, worked out a deal which we are all very pleased with."

"Our track record speaks for itself," adds Ömer Akay of Despotz. "Sweden is too small for our artists, so we create a larger arena for them internationally. It's incredibly that KAMCHATKA recognize this and choose to work with us at Despotz over other interested record labels."
