ARMORED SAINT/FATES WARNING bassist Joey Vera has posted the following message on his official web site:"As most of you have heard, I will be going on tour with ANTHRAX filling in for the recently departed bassist Frank Bello. The band has asked me to do their upcoming tour of Japan and Australia which they had booked for some time and I accepted (of course!). I've jammed a couple of times already with Scott Ian, going over the songs they've asked me to learn. Yeah, my damn fingers are feeling it! But it's going really well and I'm sure I'll be ready. As a warm-up show, ANTHRAX is playing at the Whisky in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 8. If some of you are in the area, come on down! It's an honor for me to be doing this tour with the mighty ANTHRAX and I'll be playing some places I've never been to. It's going to be killer! For the complete list of dates for the tour please go to the bands website www.anthrax.com . "In other news: The ARMORED SAINT DVD I was working on is now done and coming out on Tuesday May 4, 2004. Titled 'Armored Saint Magazine: Lessons Not Well Learned', the DVD features an hour long feature which includes 12 never seen before bootleg videos, a host of off-stage silliness, a brand new video for 'Symbol of Salvation', 'Reign of Fire' Video, 'Last Train Home' video, a rare promotional video clip, a new photo gallery, several blooper reels and a view into one of our really exciting soundchecks. The DVD also comes with a bonus audio disc of a live concert we performed in 1984 on our very first tour ever. Classic young SAINT with Dave Prichard. Be sure to check your stores, the SAINT website www.armoredsaint.com or www.metalblade.com around early May. "As for FATES WARNING, recording will begin in late April and continue through June. I plan on recording my parts sometime during that schedule. My task these days is finding time to fit everything in! But I am looking forward to the new FATES record, from what I've heard so far it's gonna be killer. "And we've had to put the SEVEN WITCHES record on hold until May/June so I can do the tour with ANTHRAX. This is when being in several bands gets a little chaotic! But luckily the guys and the label are being cool. I thank them all and I’ll keep you posted on how that turns out too. "Thanks for all of your emails and I hope I've answered some of your questions. Depending on where you are, maybe I'll see you out there!"
