Contrary to reports published via other online sources, ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell will not switch to using only his last name as the moniker for his current solo project, which is tentatively due to issue its latest effort, entitled Degradation Trip, through Roadrunner Records on May 14th. Although the above-mentioned idea was reportedly considered by the parties involved, it was eventually decided that sticking with the guitarist's full name was the most agreeable way to market the axeman's upcoming CD. Look for the first single off the album—either “Anger Rising” or “Angel Eyes”—to impact radio sometime in April.
