JEFF SCOTT SOTO Performs With ULI JON ROTH At SKY ACADEMY Concerts

August 26, 2007

Singer Jeff Scott Soto (JOURNEY, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TALISMAN) was one of a number of special guests who performed with legendary guitarist Uli Jon Roth (SCORPIONS, ELECTRIC SUN) at this year's Sky Academy concerts, which are being held August 22-26 at Musician's Institute in Los Angeles.

The concept of Sky Academy was conceived by Uli. He wanted a medium to teach his own unique approach to musicians wanting to take their playing to that next level.

Uli performed two concerts, titled "Uli Jon Roth and Friends", in conjunction with his Sky Academy Seminar. Uli played lots of SCORPIONS and playing tribute to many classic bands, such as CREAM, JIMI HENDRIX, THE DOORS, and others.

According to a posting on Jeff Scott Soto's web site, Jeff joined Uli and his band for the classic SCORPIONS tracks "In Trance" and "Pictured Life".

Commented Jeff: "Those were always two of my favorite old SCORPS songs. To sing them again [Jeff previously performed the songs at the 2006 Sky Academy concerts — Ed.] with the legendary originator, Uli Roth, is always inspiring."
