JEFF KOLLMAN BAND: European Tour Announced

September 26, 2004

Guitarist Jeff Kollman (GLENN HUGHES, MOGG/WAY) has set an October 1 release date through Marmaduke Records for "Bleeding the Soul", the debut album from his latest venture, JKB (JEFF KOLLMAN BAND),also featuring former EDWIN DARE bandmate, bassist Kevin Chown, and drummer Charlie Waymire (EGH, SPEAK NO EVIL). Copies can be pre-ordered now via www.jeffkollman.com. Recorded and mixed at Kollman's Crumb Bros. facility in the San Fernando Valley, "Bleeding the Soul" is being described as Kollman's hardest rocking album in years and also marks Jeff's debut as a lead vocalist. "I loved working with guys like Glenn Hughes and Phil Mogg who are amazing singers. On the other hand, it was very liberating not to have to rely on someone else for vocals this time around," says Kollman. "The record was written and recorded at breakneck speed. I think the lyrics and vocals were all done in two weeks — no overthinking, no looking back, no worries of fitting into a category, no worries of radio or what's dated or hip, no worries of length of tunes or whether or not to have guitar solos. There's no loops, no fuckin' auto tune, just pure rock'n'roll — powerful, dynamic, dark and twisted. 10 songs and out! I don't about you but I don't want to hear 13 songs of any band. We're going back to the old school concept on that one. I haven't worked with Kevin in years on a record and it was great. And Charlie was bashing his brains out! I can't wait to play this noise live!"
