JED To Celebrate Ten-Year Anniversary With Release Of New CD, Hometown Show

February 28, 2006

Aberdeen, WA-based heavy rock band JED will release their long-awaited CD "Synesthesia" on March 25.

JED have performed and recorded throughout the Northwest for a decade, winning over crowds with their memorable stage presence and original sound. The band's newest recording, "Synesthesia", is the long-awaited follow up to 2001's "Sanctuary 200" and the band's third full-length album. JED crafted 11 new songs for "Synesthesia" and recorded at Oceanside Recording studio with engineer and producer Brian Smith over several months time during 2005. In December 2005, renowned Seattle producer Jack Endino returned to the city where he helped (birth) NIRVANA and joined Smith and the band in the studio to mix the new record, taking about a week of 12-hour sessions. The album was mastered in Seattle by Rick Fisher of RFI, with both Smith and Endino at hand and is currently in manufacturing status at CD Man in Vancouver, B.C.

JED will perform as headlining act at an all-ages concert at the Aberdeen Elks club on March 25. The band will be filming a full-length video during their set. Local filmmaker Brandon Maine and crew will shoot footage of JED's first single, "Madmartigan", giving fans a chance to be immortalized in a music video.
