JASON NEWSTED At NAMM: Photos Available

January 19, 2004

Chophouse Records has posted a bunch of photos of former METALLICA/current VOIVOD bassist Jason Newsted appearing at this year's NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. on Saturday (January 17). Check them out here.

As previously reported, Jason has officially joined the Honorary Board of Directors of Little Kids Rock, an innovative non-profit organization that teaches low-income kids how to play and compose their own, original rock songs. Newsted accepted his honorary board seat and award recognition from Little Kids Rock executive director Dave Wish at the NAMM show on Saturday at the Dean Markley booth.

Newsted's post on the LKR Board of Directors will begin immediately and will help the organization gain visibility as it provides free music education to children across the country. Newsted has donated time, instruments and funding to Little Kids Rock. Jason and his band, VOIVOD, were the first artists to lend their creative talents to the program's next large-scale fundraising effort, "Little Kids, Big Fans: Stars United for Music Education".
