JAKE E. LEE Signature Model CHARVEL Guitar Unveiled At NAMM

January 27, 2014

The Guitar World gang visited the Charvel booth at the 2014 NAMM show in Anaheim, California this past weekend and got the lowdown on the company's new Jake E. Lee (OZZY OSBOURNE, BADLANDS, RED DRAGON CARTEL) signature model. Check out Guitar World's video below.

From Charvel: "With its unmistakable So–Cal ash body contours and lavender–hued Pearl White finish, the same instrument players have long clamored for becomes the first instrument in the Jake E. Lee signature series."

Lee made an appearance to check out his axes and talk about his new band RED DRAGON CARTEL, while Warren DeMartini (RATT) and Dave Nassie (BLEEDING THROUGH) were also spotted.

RED DRAGON CARTEL's self-titled debut album will be released on January 28 via Frontiers Records. The CD was recorded at Las Vegas' The Hideout Recording Studio — owned and operated by Kevin Churko (OZZY OSBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, IN THIS MOMENT) — and was produced by R. Bernard Mann (a.k.a. Ronnie Mancuso) and Jake E. Lee, and executive-produced, mixed and mastered by Churko.

RED DRAGON CARTEL, which references the axeman's Japanese roots, also features Darren "D.J." Smith of Canadian metallers WARMACHINE, on vocals, Ronnie Mancuso (BEGGARS & THIEVES) on bass and Jonas Fairley (BLACK BETTY) on drums.

Jake E. Lee is best known for his work in BADLANDS and as guitarist for OZZY OSBOURNE on "Bark At The Moon" and "The Ultimate Sin" albums.

"Red Dragon Cartel" also features various guest appearances from some of rock's most notable faces, including legendary CHEAP TRICK vocalist Robin Zander, former IRON MAIDEN singer Paul Di'Anno, KILL DEVIL HILL/ex-PANTERA bassist Rex Brown, Sass Jordan, Todd Kerns and Brent Fitz (SLASH) and IN THIS MOMENT frontwoman Maria Brink.
