It's Official: IRON MAIDEN To Headline Australia's SOUNDWAVE Festival

It's now official: British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN will headline the 2011 edition of Australia's Soundwave festival, with SLAYER, SLASH, ROB ZOMBIE and AVENGED SEVENFOLD also joining the bill.

The dates are as follows:

Feb. 26 - Brisbane, Showgrounds
Feb. 27 - Sydney, Eastern Creek Raceway
Mar. 04 - Melbourne, Showgrounds
Mar. 05 - Adelaide, Bonython Park
Mar. 07 - Perth, Steel Blue Oval

In addition, IRON MAIDEN will also play two arena shows prior to the festivals with first ticket access for fan-club members:

Feb. 23 - Melbourne, Hisense Arena
Feb. 24 - Sydney, Entertainment Centre

The exclusive pre-sale will take place on Monday, August 9 Augst at noon and run through to 5 p.m. Tuesday, August 10 (local time). The pre-sale is open to all fan club members.

Tickets for these two shows go on sale to the general public on August 12.
