IRONFIRE Announce New Lineup, Prepare To Enter Studio

February 20, 2005

Danish power metallers IRONFIRE are back on track with a new lineup and a new web site, where you can check out the latest news, download songs and videos. Joining singer Martin Steene (FORCE OF EVIL) and guitarist Mads Andersen in the new formation are bassist Martin Lund and drummer Jens B.

Commented Steele, "We have started rehearsals for the upcoming album and I tell you, it's some heavy shit we are doing these days.

"Everybody in the band is really exited about the new material and we are planning to enter the studio in April.

"We are trying to capture the essence of the previous two IRONFIRE albums, but not as naive as 'Thunderstorm' (2000) and not as experimental as 'On the Edge' (2001),just pure power metal, hopefully ending up with a mix of the aggressive U.S power metal and the melodic European speed metal, we all know so well...

"We had a list of more than sixty songs to choose from, all written over the last four years. All in all the new album will be power metal 'down to the bone'.

"It all feels right this time, the new lineup, the new material, everything's just the way it should be.

"I feel [like] I've just woken up from four years, trapped in a nightmare, and man, it feels good.

"It seems like the curse that has haunted this band, for far too long, [has] finally [been] lifted."
