California-based progressive metal/rock band INTRONAUT have booked studio time April 7 through April 23 at Shiva Industries (ABYSMAL DAWN, WINTERTHRALL, NOCTUARY, EYES OF FIRE, DREAMS OF DAMNATION) with John Haddad to record their first full-length album. "So far we have five songs completely done and most of twi more," the band write in an update. "We're shooting for possibly 6-7 songs, and maybe a spare song or two for compilations, EPs and whatnot. Some working songtitles are 'Rise to the Midden' and 'Nostalgic Echo'. We haven't decided on an album title as of yet. The album will be mastered by Alan Douches (MASTODON, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, MISFITS, RUN DMC, CLUTCH, BAD BRAINS, etc.) at West West Side Music in early May. The CD will be released by Goodfellow Records in June or July 2006 with touring to follow (with any luck!)."

In other news, INTRONAUT have scheduled a CD-release party for their "Null" EP (due February 28 via Goodfellow) on February 24 at the Mountain Bar in Los Angeles. Also appearing on the bull be THE ABOMINABLE IRON SLOTH (featuring members of WILL HAVEN and ODDMAN).
