3 INCHES OF BLOOD Part Ways With Guitarists, Announce Replacements

September 30, 2004

Canadian metallers 3 INCHES OF BLOOD have parted ways with guitarists Bobby Froese and Sunny Dhak. "The two of them decided they could no longer commit to touring and needed to deal with some personal matters," the band write on their web site. "Naturally, we were all quite shocked and disappointed by their decision, but after much discussion, we understand why they needed to do this and we wish them the best. We decided afterwards that we didn't want to call it a day, so we've recruited the guitar talents of Justin Hagberg from war-metalers ALLFATHER and Shane Clark, who plays in TEN MILES WIDE and THE ALMIGHTY PUNCHDRUNK."

3 INCHES OF BLOOD's new album, entitled "Advance and Vanquish", is scheduled for release on October 19 via Roadrunner Records. Recorded at a Chicago studio with producer Neil Kernon (NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, DEICIDE),the CD was mixed by Colin Richardson (MACHINE HEAD, FEAR FACTORY, NAPALM DEATH). The band laid down 15 tracks in total, including new versions of previously recorded tracks "Destroy the Orks" and "Ride Dark Horse Ride".

3 INCHES OF BLOOD made a mark in 2003 touring the U.K. with THE DARKNESS in support of their indie album "Battlecry Under a Winter Sun" (released in the U.K. on the Death O' Clock Records label).

3 INCHES OF BLOOD will be supporting METAL CHURCH on their U.S. tour beginning on October 27 in San Diego, CA. A complete list of currently confirmed tour dates is available at this location.
