ICARUS WITCH Guitarist Quits, Goes Back To School To Become Funeral Director

August 25, 2009

Guitarist Quinn Lukas will play his final show with Pittsburgh traditional metallers ICARUS WITCH on Thursday, September 17 at Club DV8 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Also scheduled to appear are CAULDRON, ENFORCER and MANTIC RITUAL.

Commented ICARUS WITCH: "When Quinn joined the band in 2006, he put his mortuary science schooling on hold. Since that time, we've played with HEAVEN & HELL, CANDLEMASS, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, KAMELOT, DORO and many more. Toured with TROUBLE, trekked around the North East, the South, the Midwest. Played Germany with METAL CHURCH and partied in Los Angeles with, well... everyone else! He provided half the guitar for the 'Songs For The Lost' album (with the other half laid down by former WITCH shredder Steve Pollick). Now Quinn's going back to school to become a funeral director and ICARUS WITCH will enter the next chapter in our twisted tale as we prepare to release our fourth CD in time for a full U.S. tour this winter."

Released in 2007, ICARUS WITCH's third album, "Songs for the Lost", was produced by Eric Klinger (PRO-PAIN, BUILT UPON FRUSTRATION) and includes a cover of DEF LEPPARD's "Mirror Mirror", featuring a guest appearance by legendary RAINBOW/DEEP PURPLE vocalist Joe Lynn Turner.
