HYPOCRISY Film Video For 'Eraser'

January 21, 2004

Long-running Swedish metal act HYPOCRISY, led by acclaimed producer/PAIN frontman Peter Tägtgren, have finished filming a video for the track "Eraser", taken from the group's upcoming album, "The Arrival". "The video contains some science fiction, some naked ladies and then some," Tägtgren writes on the band's web site.

As previously reported, "The Arrival" is scheduled for release on February 16 through Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Catch-22" was recorded at Tägtgren's Abyss studios and features "a wide variety of songs" that "have the same kind of feeling as [the group's] self-titled album ([1999's] 'Hypocrisy') but [with] more 'finesse' to it," according to Peter.

HYPOCRISY will be embarking on a U.S. tour with CANNIBAL CORPSE, EXHUMED and VILE beginning on February 12 in Houston, Texas. "We can't wait to hit the road with [ex-IMMORTAL drummer] Horgh and Andreas as part of the new line-up," says Tägtgren.

In other news, HYPOCRISY have been confirmed to play Party.San Open Air 2004 festival, which will take place August 12-14 in Bad Berka, Germany. Other bands on the bill include CARPATHIAN FOREST, MISERY INDEX, PUNGENT STENCH, ZYKLON, DISMEMBER, GOREROTTED, VOMITORY, HATESPHERE, GRAVEWORM, INCAPACITY, THE DUSKFALL, PURGATORY, DISFEAR, THE CROWN, ENSIFERUM and PANZERCHRIST.
