HYDROGYN: New Shows Announced

December 28, 2008

Ashland, Kentucky-based rockers HYDROGYN have scheduled the following dates:

Jan. 09 - Fairplain Yacht Club - Ripley, West Virginia
Jan. 10 - V-Club - Huntington, West Virginia
Jan. 17 - Wake Up Dead - Richmond, Virginia

The January 10 show in Huntington will follow the band's "Strip 'Em Blind Tour" format featuring a stage show that includes the strippers working at the club.

HYDROGYN will release a new two-disc Video Compact Disc (VCD) entitled "No Borders" on January 27, 2009. Popular in Europe and Asia, the VCD format combines video and music and can be played on VCD machines, most computers and DVD players.

"No Borders" documents the band's three world tours ("Deadly Passions", "Strip'em Blind" and "Bombshell") with concert footage, acoustic appearances, music videos, and interviews with the band. It also includes an interview with world-renowned record producer Michael Wagener who helmed HYDROGYN's album "Bombshell", and has worked with a variety rock legends, including OZZY OZBOURNE, ALICE COOPER, METALLICA and SKID ROW.

"'No Borders' has a little extra to offer," said Jeff Westlake, HYDROGYN's guitar player and founding member. "We were able to incorporate footage sent in by fans from all over the United States and Europe. Fans may be surprised to see their footage on the disc."

HYDROGYN recently announced the addition of drummer Josh Cumberland to the group's ranks. Cumberland comes to HYDROGYN with previous experience on the Universal label with his then-band ERASE THE GREY.

HYDROGYN's latest album, "Deadly Passions", was recorded in Huntington, West Virginia's Smash Hits Studio and includes a cover of ALANIS MORISSETTE's mega-smash "You Oughta Know".
