HIRAX Drummer Remains 'Fully Committed' To WEAPON 13

February 13, 2006

Former HIRAX and current WEAPON 13 bassist Gary Monardo has confirmed that WEAPON 13 drummer Johnny Tabares has indeed rejoined HIRAX. However, "Johnny is still fully committed to WEAPON 13 as well," according to Monardo.

Added Gary, "We are in the process of writing songs for a full-length album, to be released in the summer of 2007, and are currently in negotiations for a for an eight-song EP for late spring or early summer of 2006.

"From the beginning our goal has been about having fun, writing heavy songs and having stability in our band and that will continue," Monardo concluded.

In addition to Monardo and Tabares, WEAPON 13's current lineup includes Bob Savage (guitar; played on HIRAX's 1984 demo) and ex-WARGOD vocalist Rob Perkins. The group's three-song self-titled demo is available for free download at www.weapon13.com.
