HENDRIX Classic Named Greatest Guitar Album Of All Time

July 21, 2003

JIMI HENDRIX's classic "Are You Experienced" has been named the greatest guitar album of all time, according to Daily Record.

The 1967 release, with famous songs such as "Foxy Lady" and "Fire", was chosen by "experts" from Mojo magazine.

THE WHO came second for their early album "My Generation", while blues legend HOWLIN' WOLF's self-titled 1962 compilation came third.

Only two albums from the last 20 years made the top 20 — "Loveless", by indie faves MY BLOODY VALENTINE and 1995's "The Bends", by RADIOHEAD.
