HELLOWEEN Rumored To Have Enlisted Ex-FREEDOM CALL Guitarist

July 5, 2002

HELLOWEEN are strongly rumored to have selected former FREEDOM CALL guitarist Sascha Gerstner to replace Roland Grapow, who was dismissed from the group last year. The band's revamped line-up is expected to head over to singer Andy Deris' studio Mi Sueno in Tenerife, Spain to begin recording their new album, due in early 2003.

In related news, Grapow's new band MASTERPLAN (also featuring former HELLOWEEN drummer Uli Kusch and ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN/current ARK frontman Jorn Lande) are still seeking a label home in Asia, Europe and America for their recently-completed debut album, which is now likely to surface in November at the earliest.
