HELHEIM: New EP Details Revealed

August 8, 2010

Norway's HELHEIM, well known for incorporating Norse history into its music and performances, will release a brand new EP, "Åsgårds Fall", in October. The CD was recorded at Conclave Studio with producer Bjørnar Nilsen and will feature the following track listing:

01. Dualitet og Ulver
02. Jernskogen (remake)
03. Helheim Part
04. Åsgårds Fall 1
05. Åsgårds Fall 2

A full-length album, entitled "Heiðindómr ok Mótgang", was also recorded during the same sessions and will be released in January along with a concert DVD.

In other news, HELHEIM is currently working on a video for the song "Dualitet og Ulver" from the "Åsgårds Fall" mini-CD. Most of the main footage is being filmed this weekend on mountains surrounding Bergen, Norway.

HELHEIM caused a stir when it launched its sixth album, "Kaoskult", in a Norwegian kindergarten, where the band played a shortened acoustic set to the children.

"Kaoskult" was HELHEIM's sixth release, and its second on the Dark Essence label. The nine-track album presented a new maturity from the band, which has explored a more varied, and melodic side to its music. Written by now-former guitarist Thorbjørn, with lyrics by Vgandr, "Kaoskult" was produced by Bjørnar Nilsen, who also contributed guest vocals.
