HED P.E. Want Fans To Pick Song For New Video

January 12, 2005

Koch Records, HED P.E. and HedRocks.com are teaming up and looking for YOUR help. HED has decided to enlist the help of its fans in choosing the song they'd best like to see as the first video from their forthcoming album, "Only In Amerika".

By logging onto the 411 section on HedRocks.com now, fans can listen to streams of four songs hand-picked by the band and immediately vote on their favorite. The songs will remain posted throughout the week of Jan. 20, 2005. The winning song will officially become the band's first video from the forthcoming new disc. The video will be shot in Los Angeles later this month.

The production on HED's fourth CD, "Only In Amerika", was swift and painless, albeit a bit of a budget shock from what the band was accustomed to on a major label budget. States frontman Jahred, "The new CD was recorded true punk rock style. The only studio we used was to record the drums. Most of the s*** was recorded in my apartment, but it was cool, cuz we could take our time. The clock wasn't ticking, so we got real creative and s***."

Formerly signed to Jive Records and described by Rolling Stone as "the one rare metal act willing to admit that good times actually exist," the Los Angeles-based group has sold over 700,000 albums since the release of their first EP in 1995. The band has toured with some of the biggest acts in music including METALLICA, SLAYER, KORN, DEFTONES, LINKIN PARK, P.O.D., SLIPKNOT and many more.

HED P.E.'s new album, "Only In Amerika", is scheduled for release on February 22.
