HEAVEN & HELL Drummer To Guest On WJCU's 'Metal On Metal'

August 21, 2009

HEAVEN & HELL drummer Vinny Appice will appear "live" on WJCU's "Metal On Metal" radio program on Friday, August 21 at 7:30 p.m. (EST). Appice will discuss the band's current tour and "The Devil You Know" album, and will tell tales from the road, including a recent fun and unexpected run-in with the law.

A pre-recorded interview with Ronnie James Dio, live HEAVEN & HELL music and ticket giveaways will also be featured.

"Metal On Metal", hosted by Bill Peters, can be heard every Friday night from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (EST) at 88.7 FM in the Cleveland area or streamed live worldwide at www.wjcu.org. The long-running, internationally acclaimed program has been entertaining heavy metal listeners on the airwaves since 1982.

HEAVEN & HELL's newly released "Follow The Tears" single features two versions of the title track — a "radio edit" and "album version". The running times vary significantly. The "radio edit" is just 3:43, whereas the standard version is 6:10. The inside of the jewel case paper insert has U.S. tour dates on it, with no additional artwork. There will be no video filmed for the single and it won't be available at retail.

"Follow The Tears" is the second single (following "Bible Black") from the group's new album, "The Devil You Know", which has sold around 70,000 copies since its April 28 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It debuted at position No. 8 on The Billboard 200 chart with first-week sales of 30,000 units.
